Last week at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and
NFDC Film Bazaar in Goa was a whirlwind of inspiration, interactions, and incredible moments.

Talkies, Mumbai-India, I had the privilege of connecting with top delegates, government officials, and industry leaders from around the world.
But the standout moment for me was meeting Marc Baschet, the legendary producer whose body of work has shaped global cinema in profound ways. From Before the Rain (Golden Lion at Venice, Oscar nominee) to the Academy Award-winning No Man’s Land by Danis Tanovic, Marc’s films have left an indelible mark on storytelling.
As I discussed The Ultimate Dream, our upcoming 4-episode sports drama series on grassroots soccer in Australia, it was inspiring to share ideas with someone who has such an unparalleled understanding of global cinema.
Shot over four months this year, the series explores the beautiful game through the eyes of players from the ground up and is gearing up for a major international release in 2025.
Meeting Marc reminded me of the power of storytelling to connect people, transcend cultures, and inspire change.
